Reframing the conversation - A practical guide to mobilising mental health services (ONLINE)
A Talk by Barney Wells (Director, EASL)
About this Talk
Working in the homeless sector can feel isolating and that you are left holding an unreasonable amount of anxiety, complexity and risk whilst statutory mental health services avoid accepting referrals or responsibility. This is especially the case when the wider system is under pressure.
In this session Barney Wells will suggest strategies and lead you to resources that can help you communicate your concerns, mobilise resources and look after yourself.
Barney aims reduce the occasions where you struggle for your concerns to be heard and understood, and to create more opportunities for a three way conversation (between the homeless sector, mental health services and service users) that properly explores the individual’s strengths and needs.
