Sectioned at 17 with schizophrenia, homeless and restraint, Colin made the transition to become a mental health practitioner, commissioner, researcher, teacher and Lived experience activist. 

A member of Mental Health Foundation, Mind, National Lived Experience research group for NHS, Patient and Career Race Equality Framework and the whiteness and Race Equality network and currently Adult Mental Health Partnership Manager for Black Thrive.

Working with the Professional footballers Association on modern Drapetomania in sport, with publications on coproduction, whiteness, global race displacement and homelessness, mental health and misdiagnosis,
